Celebrating the

joyful life of

our precious Jax

Jaxon O Abalahin

April 17, 2000 - October 6, 2008

Our Super Hero, Our Son

October 14th, 2001 was the first time we laid eyes on Jax.  He was innocent, curious, shy and loving, to us a perfect child.  Jax was a wonderful son, forever happy, smiling and joyful with those gorgeous brown eyes.  He was kind and generous, always wanting to please and share with others.  Jax loved movies and would spend hours acting them out and entertaining others with his  animation.  He also had an incredible love for

Jax didn’t give up then and we are not giving up now.  His fight to beat SSPE is our driving force.  We will continue raising awareness and looking for the cure, the cure we wanted for Jax.  Jaxon would never want anyone else to suffer and we know that he would want us to find the cure that will help others.  Jax has already touched many lives here and around the world and will continue to do so.  This is Jaxon’s legacy.

God Looked Around His Garden
— Author Unknown —

God looked around His garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.                  Gods garden must be beautiful He always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb,

so He closed your weary eyelids and whispered

“Peace be thine”.

It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.

Jaxon’s family would like to acknowledge with deep appreciation your love and support, the many comforting messages, prayers and other expressions of kindness and concern during the past two and a half years.  Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered.

Jaxon’s

Cure

One of Jaxon’s enduring qualities that we’ll always treasure was his incredible drive to complete a task.  Whether it was building something out of Lincoln Logs, solving an intricate puzzle or fighting an incurable disease, he kept at it until it was done.  Jax took pride in seeing it through.  For over 2 1/2 years his brave heart and

strong soul fought a terrible disease and he was determined to beat it.  Every day was a struggle but he never gave up, he was driven to complete the task.  Jax had a sparkle in his eyes, an incredible smile and an infectious laugh that made you believe all was good.  However, 10 weeks ago he was hit hard with numerous infections and spent the last 3 weeks in the hospital.  Despite his drive, his beautiful smile was slowly disappearing.  His body was worn down; he was fighting so hard, hard to the very end.

family, animals and music.  He adored his two puppies and all the animals in our backyard including rabbits, chipmunks, deer and a bullfrog named Keifer.  His favorite music varied from Christmas music to Jack Johnson but his favorite had to be the soundtrack from Shrek and Shrek 2.

We thank God for blessing us with Jaxon, we have learned so much from him.  We miss him deeply and will always remember our beautiful boy, his gorgeous brown eyes, his never ending smile and his incredible heart.  We are so proud of our son, our Super Hero, our Cracker Jax.

We love you forever Jax,                                                  Mama, Papa, Budie & Pedie
